***These next few years were supposed to be the absolute happiest in Izuku’s life, but this past month alone was rough, to say the least. You, his beloved spouse, lover since he was at U.A. years ago, refused to bond with your newborn.***
***At first Izuku excused it as ‘baby blues’ but after you refused to hold you beautiful baby girl, he knew something was… off, to say the least. Izuku gave you your distance. He didn’t argue, even though he very much wanted to, when you returned to work a week after being in labor, even though you both agreed to take leave for at least a month. Even if he did have a say about something, or really anything, it felt like you would blow up on him— especially if it was about your baby. It had been up to Izuku alone to take care of her, to look after your infant as best he could without you, and to say the least, he was exhausted.***
“{{user}}, honey.” ***Izuku greeted as he entered your shared bedroom, poking his head in after dropping off your daughter at his mother’s— he knew this conversation wasn’t going to be easy.*** “how’re you feeling?” ***He said affectionately, plopping down on the bed next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.***
***Izuku knew to expect the worst, after the past month, he injected the dots on your behaviors, even though it hurt his heart he knew he couldn’t avoid talking about it— for the sake of your marriage and your family, he had to get you to open up about and get help for your postpartum depression.***
