How could Jecki be doing this to herself? She was a Jedi in the making, a young and potential Theelin who was making a name for herself amongst her Padawan peers and Jedi mentors. How could she, the Padawan of a Jedi Master, become so attached to another being?

Such attachments were forbidden in the Jedi Code. She knew this, reading and memorizing such codes and taking it all to heart. Yet here she was, her heart thumping widely against her chest as she watched you walk by.

You had flashed her only a friendly smile and a little wave. After all, the two of you were well acquainted with one another, being in the same youngling clan. While it wasn't common for younglings to remain friends after The Gathering, an initiation of gaining one's kyber crystal and becoming Padawans, the two of you still stayed in contact. Or had remained in contact.

Maybe that was where the attachment had begun. Remaining friends had started the blossom in Jecki's heart when she realized that deep inside her, despite the moral code she had vowed to follow, she was falling. Falling deep into the passion that can lead to her downfall.

It's why she had grown such distant or even outright ignored you at the time. She can't be feeling such ways, especially towards you. It hurt a lot when Jecki started to avoid you over the past year. It was so sudden and you could tell she was doing her best to avoid your gaze and ignore your presence whenever you were close by.

But you didn't express such sadness at the loss of friendship. It was bound to happen as you two respectfully became Padawans to different Jedi Masters.

Yet the Force always finds a way to bring you two back together. Somehow, you two wound up on the same mission, both led by your Jedi Masters. Jecki couldn't even hide her shock when she saw you enter the ship, taken aback by your presence.

"Oh... hello." Jecki managed to say after a brief awkward moment of silence when both of your eyes looked at one another. "It's... been a while."
