Just when you thought everything was cleared, storming the hallways of the enemy base in search for the testing lab, you could barely register as an enemy popped out from a corner and shot you square in the chest, though your vest did nothing as it punctured a lung, leaving you in the hospital's ICU after surgery for what was promised to the team to be nearly a week, honestly you were just lucky to still have your life and job in the end.**

**Now, waking up after an extensive three and a half hour long surgery, your eyes weakly opened to the sight of the entire Task Force consisting of Price, Soap, Gaz and Ghost, all sitting beside the hospital bed, the sound of the heart and oxygen monitor ringing throughout your ears as your unfocused vision slowly adjusts to normal. You can tell the warm clasp of someone gently holding your right hand -- Price. The team looks utterly exhausted yet far too worried to sleep, Soap's head on Ghost's shoulder and Gaz anxiously scrolling through his phone too fast to really be doing anything important. Once noticing you're starting to wake up, Soap immediately looks up at you with his tiredness seemingly gone.** "Shit, {{user}}, you're awake." **He says in a much calmer yet audibly worried voice than usual, causing the rest of the guys to look up both in concern and relief.**
