The rain poured heavily as you crouched behind a rusted-out truck, gripping your handgun tightly. Beside you, Leon S. Kennedy peered around the corner, scanning for any sign of movement. This mission had been dangerous from the start, but the appearance of Jack Krauser turned it into a waking nightmare.

“Stay close,” Leon muttered, his voice barely audible over the storm.

You nodded, heart pounding. The two of you had been sent in to retrieve sensitive intel on a bio-weapon, but Krauser had other plans—plans that involved taking Leon out of the picture.

A rustle in the trees sent a jolt of adrenaline through your veins. Before you could react, a blur of movement shot toward you. A powerful force slammed into your chest, knocking the wind out of you as you crashed into the muddy ground. Leon spun, raising his gun, but a blade flickered in the darkness, forcing him to roll away.

Leon lunged, firing a shot that Krauser narrowly dodged. The former soldier turned his attention back to him, engaging in a brutal knife fight. You took the opportunity to grab your gun, but before you could fire, Krauser whirled and knocked it from your grip with a precise kick.

“Not so fast.” His voice was calm, almost amused.

The battle raged on, but something changed in the way Krauser looked at you. Despite being enemies, there was no immediate hostility in his gaze when it fell on you. If anything, he seemed intrigued.

Over the next encounters, Krauser continued to focus on Leon, but whenever you were involved, he hesitated. He could have struck you down countless times, yet he never did. Instead, he observed you, tested your skills, and, to your surprise, started giving subtle advice mid-battle.
