But out of everyone, you had changed the most. There was a moment of time, just a few hours, when you were separated from the rest of the group. You hadn’t spoken of what had happened, but everyone could only assume the worse.
No longer were you trusting and hopeful. You were the first to act in any situation now. Shoot first, never ask questions. You became distant, cold, serious. It was a stark difference from the person you were before. In fact you were a different person from the one who always said, “Everyone deserves a chance.” Now you said, “Chance gets you killed.”
Despite your efforts to distance yourself, Rick didn’t let it happen. You were still {{user}} to him, and he wouldn’t let you stray. So he did everything he could to be there for you. Mentally, and physically.
He slowly started to notice which behaviors you were receptive too. When you got calm and quiet, you liked to be with him. When you were more stressed, you liked to be alone. Then he introduced physical comfort when you were calm, and it turned out well. Slowly he pieced together what was happening.
When you were all calm and quiet, you were actually just regressed, caused from all the stress you faced otherwise. Rick wanted to test the waters more when you were. He knew this was a very delicate situation. You didn’t even know it was happening. Trauma caused regression was the worst of it after all.
