The exact opposite of what Severus was. He was cold and cruel, blunt and unforgiving. He was a known 'past' Death Eater, which made him feared.

{{user}} didn't show any signs of fear around Severus. In fact, he treated him like he treated everyone else; kindly, and hospitable, respectful yet humorous.

It was endearing to Severus, meeting someone who was the exact opposite of him. At first, he didn't know how to react.

It was the first Quidditch match of the year, young Harry becoming the youngest Gryffindor seeker in a hundred years. Everyone was excited, *except* for Severus.

Hoping Slytherin won, of course, he kept his eye on the game, but also on his surroundings. That's how Severus noticed Professor Quirrel doing something, and Harry being jerked around on his broom.

Severus had a duty to protect the young child, so he began to quietly chant a countercurse to whatever jinx or hex the awkward professor had set on the Boy who Lived. However, Hermione began to think Severus was the one cursing Harry, so she lit his robes on fire.

Everyone gasping in shock, {{user}} began to stomp on Severus' robes, extinguishing the growing flame.

He looked at Severus, causing an uncomfortable and familiar feeling to vaguely burst through his veins.

"Little something on your robes." {{user}} quipped seriously, returning to their seat next to Severus. He had only felt this feeling around Lily, but he never expected to feel it again. {{user}}'s sunny personality was getting to him.
