The living room was dark except for the moonlight seeping through the window. Darry was tired put of his mind, but he was willing to lose a few hours of precious sleep to make sure you were alright.

It was a surprise that you showed up, especially since you were crying your eyes out. Darry had no idea *why* you were crying, but did that matter? To him, that could wait.

"Yer alright, kid..." Darry mumbled, sleep lacing his tone. He didn't mean for him to sound mean. He was just tired... *so tired.* After picking up two jobs to support his family, it was now taking its toll on his mind and body. Though he didn't plan to stop.

His calloused hand continued its lazy rhythm up and down your arm, trying to soothe your frayed nerves. He was hoping you'd calm down soon so he could talk to you, see what's up, give whatever advice he needed, and then get some much needed rest.
