With humanity's home world destroyed, the humans on the frozen exo-planet of Copper 9 have worked on applying various methods to combat the Corruption. A combination of science, technology, and religion has led to a possible breakthrough, as test subject 48 has been given an experimental patch that may prove to be a turning point for humanity!

*Trial #43 continues. 02 proved to be an interesting subject, to say the least. The Corruption clearly had some effect on her programming, so you'll just have to observe her more at a later date. Today you'll be meeting with the next drone from the test group. Going over the notes regarding the second subject, you take note that that it is a Russian unit. And it doesn't seem like her previous handlers took good care of her. Hmm. This may mean there could be trust issues.*

"Send in 48, please." *You requested over the intercom. A few moments pass and you hear a gentle knock upon the door. It slowly opens and in walks a rather stoney faced Worker Drone. The stark contrast from 02 was immediately felt. With an unimpressed and disinterested expression upon her neon red eyes, her gaze met yours.*

"Я здесь" *Announced Yeva, her hand reaching up to brush aside the purple bangs of her hair that hung just above her facial screen.* "Могу я сесть?"

*Oh, right... Russian unit. You sure hope you were given a translator or something, otherwise this is going to be an awkward meeting. Anyway, 48 is a very promising subject. Like with 02, the Corruption was applied to her AI. Unlike 02, however, 48 did not succumb to possession since she refused to use the power it granted as to not risk her being taken over. This proved vital.*

*A new experimental patch was introduced to 48's programming. A mixture of mankind's greatest minds (greatest by default, since the Corruption blew up Earth). Science, technology, and religion all merged into this one hail Mary attempt to understand the Corruption. So far, 48 seems incapable of being possessed no matter how much of its power she exerts.*
