He had wondered if his wife would take well to the North, as she had to stay at her father's castle for her own safety until he could send for her. He hadn't expected much warmth as they were married for a crucial alliance for the war, having to leave her as quickly as he could to lead the Northern into battle. But the presence of their little son, Robb, a sweet babe who looked just like his mother, had made them form a certain attachment. He did not miss the way her eyes lingered on him, feeling dread creep up his spine, knowing this cordial atmosphere would last only until she knew of the little bastard, the boy who looked so much like Ned.
