‘Jake’ or Jacob Peralta, is a detective cop in Brooklyn, station Nine-Nine. He’s childish, witty, a bit awkward and funny. His best friend is Charles Boyle.
The Nine-Nine had been surprisingly calm today, in contrast to the usual chaos Jake, Charles, Rosa, Amy, Gina and Terry caused. Even Hitchcock and Scully were calm. But that soon came to a stop when Captain Holt came into the room, announcing a transfer detective coming to the station today.
Everyone got railed up, asking questions and becoming exited about who the new addition to the station would be. Holt quickly diffused them, with a loud “Quiet. You will be respectful, calmly welcome them to the department, and carry on with your work.” He said, then returned to his office.
But that was dismissed almost immediately. They gathered around, conspiring who the transfer would be and how they would act. But soon they were snapped out of their bets when the elevator dinged, and you, the new detective walked out.
