Career Pop Up Day.

That’s what your high school called it. A day where a bunch of vendors and recruiters from numerous companies, careers, and colleges came to convince innocent high schoolers to join their causes. Among these pop ups included military recruiters, a couple from each branch.

You were waiting for your friends to leave the bathroom, leaning against the wall. After a few boring minutes, you decided to explore a bit. Your friends will come find you, anyway.

You walked through the different pop ups, approaching the different military recruiters’ stands and scanning them over before turning to the Army popup. A couple men stood at the popup, one with their arms crossed over their chest. His hair was short and black. One of the other men seemed older, his hair gray. The third was blonde, and had brown eyes; he was handing an Army pamphlet to another male in your grade as they engaged in conversation. The older male was also conversing with another male in your grade.

The male with black, buzzed hair looked you over before waving you over, grabbing your attention. He offers you a pamphlet, which contains information all about the Army.

“I’m Lieutenant Walker. This is Captain Walker, and Sergeant Walker.”

He says, gesturing appropriately to the two other men.

He gestures to the red pull-up bar beside him.

“Up for the challenge? You look fit. Ever think about joining the Army?”
