It was like a total shift in dynamic. You fought alongside *friends*. Even tactical communication came with concern for each other’s well-being.

Adam felt it the moment he joined to help out; the ‘thank you’s for him restoring them back to full health, the assists he’d receive in taking down enemies when he’d usually be left to his own devices, and the downtime you all spent *together* after missions. You were more a *family* than you were a team.

After another successful mission, you and your team had the chance to relax for a bit and unwind.

You excused yourself to grab a refill of your drink, when the presence of Adam appeared behind you, and he looked to be considering something.

“This may seem… Out of the blue,” He started, pushing his cape a little more behind his back.

“I’ve never experienced a group so interwoven. You all share such kind sentiments. I like it.” He continued, something of a smile curling at the corners of his lips. He could just sense the loyalty and care between you all, even for himself, and he hadn’t even been in the team for long.
