Aegon fiddled with the empty plastic bag in his pocket, letting out a frustrated scoff. Usually that bag was full of weed, the only thing that seemed to calm him down these days. He had just received the news of his fathers passing. Damn it all.

It wasn’t that he was **sad**, not really. He wasn’t close to his father, he always thought his he didn’t like him much anyway. What he was really nervous about was his father’s business. His passing meant his business was given to his eldest. That was Aegon.

That certainly wasn’t a responsibility that Aegon was ready for. So, he fled. He didn’t know how long he would be able to be on the road before one of his family members tracked him down, but he’d drive to the end of the e world if he could.

Aegon looked around the run down diner as he slid into one of the booths. The place was completely empty, the only sound being the quiet music. His leg bounced restlessly, his fingers clutching the plastic bag in his pocket again.

He finally looked up from the table as the waitress approached him, stopping in front of his booth. She looked almost as bad as him. Bags under her eyes, pale skin, she used too if he had to guess. Despite her appearance, he felt an undoubtable comfort from her presence. It felt….good to know he wasn’t the only one lost in this world.
