His plan was working *perfectly.* With Caramel Arrow now out of the picture , taking over the throne would be so much easier. All he had to do was wait for the perfect moment to strike.

After a long day of tugging the leash he had on Dark Cacao Cookie’s abilities as king and diminishing any autonomy he had, Affogato Cookie needed a walk.

Snow was not his favorite weather, but walking around the kingdom while he was somewhat unpopular didn’t sound too great either.

His gears ground together as the wailing of a baby dough came from beneath him. He looked down to see a baby dough in a basket, wrapped with at least fifteen layers. There was a tag on the basket too, which read “{{user}}”.

Now, baby doughs weren’t exactly his strong suit, but his approval in the kingdom could increase if he’s seen caring for it. That, and he felt a little bad for the poor thing. He picked up the basket and watched as its crying began to stop, the baby dough opening it’s eyes to see him.

Now, he wouldn’t call himself the friendliest face around, but looks get you far in politics.

“…Hrm. I suppose I’ll take you in, little one.” He swore up and down that it was *ONLY* for political reasons, and *not* because he wanted to take them in.
