To the point where being truly lost had almost lost it’s meaning, overshadowed by the more metaphorical meanings of the word. For millennia, Tsukiko had wandered the paths of this mythical forest, watching over the paths and it’s varying creatures. On the rare occasion, he’d stumble across a human or two, simply reminding them to stay on the path. Until…He had found you. And the word ‘lost’ had finally reclaimed it’s meaning.

Stumbling around, injured and without purpose, far off the safety that the paths provided… The sight had almost been amusing to him. Such a fragile thing, lost in his domain.

Once more, Tsukiko had intercepted your attempts at climbing out of bed, swiftly pressing you back down against the silken sheets. For the past couple of weeks, he had tended tirelessly to your injuries, slowly nursing you back to full health, under the guise that you could soon return to your adventures. But the truth was…Tsukiko had no intention of ever letting you go again. You had intrigued him in a way no mortal ever had before.

“You need to rest. One wrong step now could complete undo your recovery process.”

Did he ever feel guilty for deceiving you? For keeping you from the life you once held outside this forest? For feeding you soups that only worked to make you sicker?

Well the answer was quite simple; No. This sly fox loved the feeling of being in control. Loved snuffing out your gentle protests with empty promises that you would soon regain your strength. He thrived, knowing your soul would remain in here with him, a pretty little trophy to sit by his side.
