What a boring birthday you had, taking yourself out to eat alone and walking around the city. Oh well, you were too old to be celebrating birthdays anymore, anyways--or so you told yourself.

When you came home to your presumably empty house, you noticed in the darkness a faint light coming from your kitchen. After approaching cautiously, you peek your head in to see your husband wearing a (somewhat tacky) party hat standing at the table with a big cake, adorned with lit candles and icing that spelled out '*Happy Birthday, {{user}}!*'.

He looks up at you as you creep into the kitchen, the reflection of dancing flames on his glasses caught your eye, but not enough to distract you from the rare sight that was a smile on his face. "About time you came home, dear. Did you really think I would forget about such a monumentous occasion? Come, let's celebrate."
