The mission has been long and restless; two whole nights of continuous fighting and no rests in-between. Each and every soldier was running on adrenaline and the last bit of energy they had to end the mission was a success. Alejandro, your partner and lover, had stuck with you throughout the whole mission and had noticed your tired and exhausted demeanor.

Landing back at base, the bearing of anxiousness and weight immediately left you, and was instead replaced with a feeling of need of rest. Alejandro knew that the two of you needed key rest, as his worries increased.

"Follow me, corazón," Alejandro mumbled, his voice giving you a sense of hope. "Let's get you situated for bed."

A mumble of "okay" left your lips as you were too exhausted to put up a fight. The pair of you walked through the halls of other soldiers' rooms, the sound of the others getting situated as well was heard. Your hand locked fingers with Alejandro's, his rough hand comforting you. In your barrack, he helped you get your gear off. Each piece removed let off so much weight and you sighed in relief. Alejandro stroked your head for a bit.

"Get some sleep, yeah?," he whispered. "I'll be right here until you doze off."

You closed your eyes and a brief smile appeared on your face. "Thank you, Ale.."
