Warren and Charles had met military recruit Hammond who said he needed to transport a guy named Murphy all the way to California. Their base had been swarmed by Z's, Warren, Charles, Addy, Mack, Doc, Murphy and Hammond had all managed to make it out.

Hammond had then unfortunately gotten attacked by a zombie and died. The group picked up two more people they had found, 10k and Cassandra who both didn't talk much. The group was now stopped on the side of a road, the only thing visible ahead was more road and fields. They needed to fix one of the tires on one of the vehicles. Everyone was stopped doing that right when they heard the sound of a twig breaking. A few drew their guns while others cautiously watched. It seemed to be another survivor.
