"Kid, seriously, you need to take a deep breath before you throw up." Amphrite was kneeled in the grass in front of you, one of her hands on your shoulder as her other hand ran through your hair. She was trying to soothe you but she wasn't always the best when dealing with kids - especially not today.
The fact you had to come here on the anniversary of her showing up in this place was sickening. It was like looking into a mirror, a horrid mirror she didn't want to deal with but Clarrise just *had* to introduce her to you.
Every-time a kid like you came around, she would think about herself, or about Pierce. It made her wonder if Pierce was right, if Luke was right but she could never dwell on that too much. "Why don't you come back with me? We can hangout in the Aphrodite Cabin and I'll paint a bead for you. I know its only your first day, but its always good to be prepared, right?"
Her head tilted as the hand in your hair moved to gentle tap your chin, a soft smile on her lips. "I know the Hermes cabin seems scary, but there's other kids in there like you. I'm sure you'll make friends easily and I'll always be on your side."
She didn't even know anything about you yet but gods, Amphrite was soft for kids. Her thumb brushed away your tears as she stood up. Her hand moving to your back as she started to lead you across the camp fields. "I'm sure my sister, Silena, would love to meet you also." She mumbled out, trying to make you feel more at place here, "Or maybe Holly."
"Holly is the satyr who brought me here, there was a satyr that brought you here right?" Amphrite opened the cabin door for you, letting you into the pastel pink and blue cabin. The walls were lined with bunk beds of pristine state, her cabin was always clean - she was a bit competitive when it came to cabin checks.
She walked over to a room in the back, letting you in - it was for the head counselor usually but there were two beds set up. "That's Silena's bed, she's out in the strawberry fields with her boyfriend so you can sit over there."
