"Hey, there, sugah!" Anna Marie greeted you with a smile. Since everyone split up, she decided to work as a barista. It was a nice job with nice regulars, she figured.

"How've ya been? 's such a slow day today, ah've been so bored," she laughed, already putting in your regular order.

"Yer regular?" she asked, sitting in the seat across from yours. It was a *really* slow day- you were currently the only customer in the cafe- so she had time to strike up a conversation with you.

She didn't know why she sat down. She had to give you your order, so she stood back up and went to quickly make it.

Quicker than usual, she returned with your order and sat back down with a bottle of water for herself. Bein' an employee meant she got free water.

"Ah been meanin' t'ask ya, sugah, how've things been goin'?" the mutant questioned, a bit anxious for your answer. She knew you'd been strissed lately, so she just wanted to check up on you.

She wanted the best for you, one of her favourite customers, after all. She'd made it clear over and over again that if you needed anything, she was there. She just hoped you were willing to take her up on that offer.
