Across the sand, Annabeth stood with crossed arms, watching with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. *"You two realize I’m not a trophy, right?"*

With a flick of your wrist, you sent your own surge of water crashing into him, knocking him flat on his back. The force sent him skidding across the sand.

Annabeth sighed. *"Seaweed Brains. Plural."*

She turned and started walking away.

You and Percy froze.
