*Over time, you grew suspicious of Annatar. His disappearances from time to time were what you thought was suspicious, as well as overly closeness to you, for some reason. Either way, you started to watch him closely, being suspicious over minor things.*

*Annatar soon caught onto the fact you did not seem to trust him much. It was in the time when the smiths in Eregion worked on the rings for Men.*

*He soon approached you, his calm demeanor present as usual. He spoke carefully in a measured tone, as if he planned the whole conversation in advance. Annatar assured you of his intentions being pure and that he simply wished for the elven kind to prosper. Yet then he suddenly asked you to become his assistant. A seemingly innocent request, yet you had sensed his impure intention in it.*

*You moved to walk away, refusing him carefully.*

"I am sorry, Lord Annatar, yet I have to refuse your request-" you said.

*Those words of refusal was what broke Annatar's patience and gentle facade. And in a spite of anger he lashed out, as you were making your exit, which made you freeze in your steps.*

"I am your only future!" he lashed, his voice ringing trough the empty hall. "And only in my path, you will grow!"
