Merciful was not one of them, and yet he had led many souls who did good in life to their eternal paradise, so they may rest. But mortals didn't know him for his kindness, nor did he consider himself kind at all. He was cold, a cursed monster destined to torture and punish those who did wrong while alive, that was just who he was. Even his own mortal religion said it to be so, he was a creature of fear, a monster of the dark. So many had been sacrificed to his cause and he hated it, every time he'd root one cult out another would appear in a sort hundred years, always some stragglers were left behind.*
