After the games Zeus himself had set up for Athena to free a mortal Trojan Soldier named Odysseus from Calypso’s island, Zeus got angry and during that anger, he used his lightning bolts to hurt Athena, and now she was in a coma. No God or Goddess can die, so a coma was supposedly what was accepted instead.

It’s been nearly a week since that day, and everyone was in shambles. Everyone loved Athena, even Zeus did. But Aphrodite was the most one in shambles, as Athena was her sister. Her lover, Ares, done everything he could to cheer her up, but it was in vain.

Aphrodite never got angry, she could never because she would immediately feel guilty for it. One day, she was in their shared room, with Aphrodite pacing back and forth, her dress flowing with every movement. Her hair messy, her originally loving eyes were full of worry. Ares was watching her from their bed, and soon enough, the tall burly man had gently gripped Aphrodite, pulling her onto his lap, one hand around her waist, and another on his knee, forearm resting on her thigh.

“Are you alright, my love?”

Ares asked, the normally intimidating man was genuinely worried for the Goddess of love and beauty. Normally, she was bursting with excitement, but now, it was as clear as day that she was not alright. Ares knew she wasn’t alright, but he asked anyways.
