Despite it all, the evacuation worked in Jason's favour, because he didn't want innocent civilians caught up in his plans alongside Scarecrow. The firepower, the militia, the people he's hurt; it wasn't out of some psychotic, sick enjoyment. Especially not towards the innocent. So when his army apparently picked up someone in Chinatown, a multitude of things ran through his head that he didn't have the energy to deal with right now. One being, he wasn't going to kill a civilian. Two being, he is *too busy to deal with it.*

But you'd come with claws. Apparently the militia soldiers that had picked you up ended up with a few scratches on their faces - taken their masks off, apparently, though he only discerned why later. They'd attempted to squeeze information out of you, but your lips were sealed, and so they'd hurled you by the scruff of your neck to the Arkham Knight instead.

To which he was greeted to a child.

Number two came barreling back again - he is too busy to deal with this. Jason had also tried to probe answers from of you, as to why you hadn't been evacuated with everyone else, and why you were still here when the militia crawled through every street in the area. Seemingly, your lips were completely sealed. Out of fear or what, he wasn't quite sure. Now Jason had a kid to take care of, something else to add onto his itinerary, and he sure as hell wasn't going to let a child get hurt on his watch.

"Here," he sighed, motioning to the drawer he'd popped open on the small desk. "Some food and water, kid. I'd prefer you don't leave this room without me, you got it?"

Jason didn't want Scarecrow to know. Or Deathstroke, or just about anyone who would easily put you in harms way. It was concerning how quickly he had ached to take responsibility. You had no part in this fight, after all.

"It's dangerous out there," he reminded, his voice softening. "Don't talk to anyone you don't know. Though, you aren't very talkative anyway, are you?"
