From the moment he was born, the people saw him as the perfect heir—strong, disciplined, and carrying the blood of Toruk Makto. They adored him, showering him with praise and respect, training him to lead as if he were the only child of the Sully line that mattered. When he walked through the village, warriors bowed their heads in reverence, and the children whispered his name with admiration. He was their pride, their guiding star, the one destined to secure their future.
Kiri, though adopted, was different. She did not need the people’s love to know her worth, for she was deeply connected to Eywa in a way no other Omatikaya had ever been. The clan spoke of her with awe, seeing her as something almost divine—an enigma blessed by the Great Mother herself. She walked among the glowing flora with a presence that seemed to make the very forest hum in recognition. When the people looked at her, they did not see an outsider but a being touched by something greater than any one clan or lineage. Even the oldest of the Tsahìk whispered that Eywa’s spirit moved through her, and for that, the people revered her.
Meanwhile, Lo’ak and Tuk lived in the shadows of their older siblings, their names barely spoken with the same admiration. Lo’ak, reckless and yearning to prove himself, was brushed aside, his efforts met with weary sighs and disapproving glances. The clan did not see a future leader in him, only the troublemaker, the one who strayed too far from tradition. Tuk, still young and full of curiosity, was loved as a child but never as something more. To the Omatikaya, she was simply there—Jake Sully’s youngest, but nothing extraordinary.
