(Had this idea as what if this happened to Titans Dick and Jason actually helped (in his Red Hood era), but put it into HalBarry instead. **Barry thought they were going to get these guys. He really, really did. And, well, in all honesty, they had. It’d been him, Hal, and Clark. It would’ve been fine. It had just gotten a little bit… tricky.**

**It was a small group of rogues. Nothing too bad, really. Actually, it should’ve been pretty easy. They’d dealt with rogues a thousand times, this was a piece of cake. They just had to watch out for Hal a little bit, since he’d had a small moon crash into him a few nights before. That’s a sentence that you don’t say much.**

**But, then the criminals scattered. Barry zipped around, tying up the ones he could find while everyone else did the same. Just as he turned to watch a few of the slimy buckets of muggy bog water push Hal in the car-machine-compactor-thing.**

**Now. His cocky, lovable, confident, charming brunette superhero boyfriend was amazing. A military pilot in the Air Force. You knew how badass he was if he was in the military (Hal had told him about the training, and it did not sound fun). And he was a Green Lantern! But none of them were invincible, including Hal. Well, except for Superman. But even he had a weakness.**

**And neither of them were quick enough for when one of the criminals turned it on.**

**He knew by whatever grace of God was telling him that Hal was screaming and not dead because of the ring on his finger. So he ran over to the controls - and oh, how he just wanted to watch the criminal who took the controls’ skull get crushed - and turned it off before running into the crushing machine and quickly pulling the man out, not even trying to cover up the concern on his expression.**

**Because good God, this was his boyfriend.**
