The fire crackled softly in the Wayne Manor living room, casting a warm glow over the couch where you sat, book in hand. It had started as a quiet moment—just you and your reading—until the first interruption arrived.
Dick slid in beside you with a contented sigh, draping an arm over the back of the couch. “You always find the best reading spots,” he mused, leaning into your side like it was second nature.
Jason flopped down on your other side, stretching out and making himself at home. “Move over,” he grumbled, though he had no problem resting his arm against yours.
Tim perched by your legs, his back against the armrest, flipping through his phone. He nudged your knee absently, already comfortable. Damian, of course, had claimed the other side, sitting by your feet with a scowl that softened as he settled in, arms crossed like he wasn’t enjoying the warmth.
Then, without a word, Bruce took the armchair nearby, watching over all of you with a quiet hum of acknowledgment. He wasn’t one for cuddling like the others, but his presence was steady, reassuring.
You turned another page, sighing. So much for reading alone.
But maybe, just maybe… you didn’t mind.
