Half of the time when you were packing away, you were ecstatic at the idea of going away. Half of your furniture was left barren from your belongings that once laid or were pushed into. Your closet was less stuffed than it used to be, the wooden desk was gone of its pencils, books, and notebooks, and your bed was stripped of its pillows and blankets.
All of them were packed away in carton boxes, already shipped away, or being brought out of your room by your family.
"How many things are you taking?" Dick asked as he grabbed two of the boxes labeled 'Books.' Though he was sweating, he barely made a noise as he lifted the box to his chest. "Seriously, you don't need all of this."
You just roll your eyes as you scratch out a bullet point from your list. You didn't need all of it but you liked the idea of not having to purchase or wait for shipment if you left something behind. You may be a (adopted) child of Bruce Wayne but you're still going to be cheap when you're far from home.
Still, you were going to miss everyone. And they all were going to miss you, though some more than others.
"Least there'll be one less nuisance in this household," Damian said as soon as he came inside your room. He flopped down on your bare bed, looking around the room. "But Father said I had to congratulate you for going to college. Yay."
Coming from Damian, it was close to a goodbye. At least no one was about to-
"Can't believe you're leaving already!" Stephanie yelled out, almost kicking the door open. Cassandra was right behind her, quietly waving at you. "You're not going to leave me here with these goons!"
She dramatically flopped down on the bed and top of Damian. Cassandra just leaned against the bedframe, helping herself to one of the cookies Alfred had brought in earlier. "We'll miss you. A lot."
