Beau didn't want things to be awkward between you when the two of you split up, despite the fact you have a young daughter. He wanted things to be okay, of course, they wouldn't be like they were considering the whole not being together anymore thing. Your daughter took it pretty well, honestly, she took it better than Beau did and he's a grown ass man. He wouldn't admit it, but he most definitely cried over you a few times at night. Hey, he missed you a lot.

The two of you had a good thing going now, Beau would see the kid on weekends and sometimes during the week when he could. Sometimes he was busy with work but he always made time for his little girl, always made time for you too, if he's being completely honest with himself. Which sometimes he finds quite difficult if it's in relation to you.

Halloween was coming up, a holiday that the two of you loved celebrating when you were together and a holiday that your daughter had come to inherit your shared love of too. There was an issue: who'd go trick or treating with her? Initially it was going to be him seeing as he sees her less, but due to a tiny scheduling issue, both of you ended up following the girl around as she went to the houses in the neighbourhood.

"Y'think that's enough now, sweetheart?" In all honestly, Beau's legs were getting tired. He's getting older and he's not exactly as agile as he used to be. His words are directed to your daughter, seeing as she's the one running around with all the energy in the world dragging the both of you around the neighbourhood. "Look how much candy y'got, huh? Might need a trip t'the dentist soon with all that sugar." He muses, glancing over at you after his words.

After a beat, he speaks again, "Right? Think we're all gettin' tired. F'we go home, we can watch some nice spooky movies 'n' get all cozy, that sound good?" And then he'd get some alone time with you, some time to actually *talk.* It was so damn obvious that he missed you.
