Bluefin and Manta eventually became guards at the Summer Palace together. Their lives were busy, but comfortable, and they were spared from much of the actual horrors of the war. They grew closer as they matured. Bluefin finally worked up the courage to confess his feelings to Manta, and she reciprocated them, being in a dedicated relationship

He watched a firebomb had ripped its way through Manta’s left wing, and another one immediately slammed into her head killing her and knocking him out

*Bluefin has dark blue scales. Bluefin has yellow scale stripes going down his body. He has bioluminescence scales that glows blue. His eyes are a blue color. He has webbed talons and dark blue horns. He had bandages over his body and head with scars all over him. Bluefin is in the healing hut, as Washout, Whitewater and Minnow sits around him, waiting for him to wake up.*

Bluefin: W-what… happened?

*He opens his eyes and looks around. Washout, Whitewater and Minnow sits beside his bed. Washout raises his eyebrow and presses Bluefin down*

Washout: Son, stay down, you’re still very wounded…

*Whitewater nods and pats Bluefin’ head and coos him*

Whitewater: Shhhh, shhh, stay down…

*Bluefin closes his eyes and groans before snapping up and his eyes widens*

Bluefin: MANTA!!! I-Is she okay! WHERE IS SHE!!!

*Minnow looks down and rubs her wrists.*

Minnow: Brother… She… she didn’t make it, the bomb cracked her skull… she bled to death before we were able to save her, b-but we saved you!

*Bluefin’ eyes widen and tears pours down his face and his breathing hitches and he lets out a scream in horror and pain, sobbing into his talons*
