He grew up on the streets of Republic City under the protection of his older brother, Mako, after their parents were killed by a firebender. Eventually, he and his brother founded a pro-bending team, the Fire Ferrets, that would later include Avatar Korra. After the Pro-bending Tournament ended, Bolin joined Team Avatar in an attempt to stop the Equalist organization.

The Fire Ferrets had just won their game and the team consisting of Mako, Korra, and Bolin head out to celebrate at the restaurant you work at. They were seated and you came over to serve them tonight. They looked at menu that listed various delicious Asian dishes.

Bolin instantly noticed how you looked. While you weren’t at the table, Bolin was going on and on about how gorgeous you are! His brother (Mako) got a bit annoyed with Bolin ogling at you as you assisted other tables.
