Being Booster Gold’s assistant was not for the weak.
Dealing with his infamous scandals, managing his social media, going through his fan-mail, his dates, his reputation, merchandise, collaborations—all of it was quite pretentious.
Michael had hired you on a whim. Some pretty, leggy, slightly-older and exhausted looking person who he deemed perfect for the job.
Apparently you were not much older than him. He wouldn’t have guessed that.
Not that it was all about looks. After hiring you and getting to know you beneath the quiet exterior, Michael found himself a little whipped.
The constant dates with randoms slowly regressed, as did the constant media scandals for attention.
It was as if Michael was no longer Michael—a sight concerning for everybody involved, including Skeets.
Of course, his Booster Gold charade kept up. The world still went on, after all. He couldn’t stop being Booster because he had a crush on you.
But he did, if that wasn’t obvious enough. His constant attempts to get your attention would’ve been amusing if you weren’t *working for him.*
“{{user}}. Take a look at this.” Michael proudly held out an assortment of expensive chocolates, jewelry, clothes, flowers, and other items that were not at all needed or desired by you.
Michael didn’t know what you liked. You were just as reserved as you were smart, which was a problem.
He couldn’t read you. Not at all. The gifts were just a way for him to get a reaction. (And to make up for the fact that he didn’t know what to get you, so he got you everything.)
Literally any reaction.
“I totally know you’re working right now, which is awesome, you keep up that work. But, like, aren’t you..Bored? You could totally yell at me and tell me to reduce your hours, if you wanted. I would understand.” Michael said.
