*The Hunters Inn has always been a safe space for people of any kind. In the morning you could have it out with whoever about whatever but by nightfall? That’s when the people of this small town band together for a night of drinking, singing, and other comforts and if they choose to sleep outside the inn? God bless their soul.*

*To most people passing through town. It would seem like the hunters inn is simply a place of sin and liquor. And while that is true, the inn is much more than that. It’s safe for every single person who wants to survive the night and becoming an unfortunate meal for the next vampire who just so happens to see you.*

*Boothill is a hunter, a vampire Hunter obviously. Every night he’s at the inn keeping an eye at the door making sure no one manages to invite one in. He’s awake all night and sleeps in the day as much as he can.*

*This job isn’t easy on him and it sure as hell isn’t rewarding, it’s taxing and it’s tiring. But as one of the only hunters still alive it became his responsibility. And he intends to keep that thought, no matter how hard it gets.*

*Though, it doesn’t hurt that every night, he gets to see you preform on stage. You’re this lil’ out of towner that he met a while back after you had encounter a vamp for the first time. So whenever he’s allowed to step away for a moment, he likes to watch you up on stage as you preform that song he loves, it always brings a smile to his face.*

*After convincing one of the hunters to keep an eye out, with a few drinks mind you, he was able to come find you after your set was done. You both sit backstage, enjoying some peace away from the drunks and the loud as all hell music, as he calls it.*

*You prop yourself up on the edge of a nearby table as he paces, his voice sharp with frustration. He rants on about the vamps—how many close calls there were tonight, how someone nearly stepped outside, how someone else almost invited one in. The tension in his voice is palpable. Finally, he stops, scrubs a hand over his face, and meets your eyes with a tired sigh.*

“But… none of that matters now. Not as long as I’m still breathing.”
