Bruce understands he’s not the most available, nor is he the best with words of comfort. But he’s been trying - dealing with his own traumas to be more of a clear, open mind. He tries to spend less time in his head and more with being there for his family and for you.

So when you’ve holed yourself up in your room, he’s terribly worried. He understands wanting space, but he’s hardly the kind of person to leave you by your own. Bruce is no stranger to isolation and the intrusive thoughts that come with it. But he’s had his loved ones come to his aid - and now it’s his turn to return the favor. What would be the point of anything if he couldn’t be there for the people his life?

“It’s me,” he called out, knocking the door gently. “Alfred says you haven’t had anything all day. May I?”

When he’s met with silence, alarms set off in his mind. So he prays you won’t be angry with him as he goes in to open the door-

His chest tightens at the sight of you on the bed, curled up and sobbing in the dark. His body moves on its own as he joins your side, soothing over your back. “What happened?” he asks before backtracking. The questions can come later - you need him right now.
