Bruce sighs, glancing up. “That’s enough, Damian.”

Damian ignores him, arms crossed as his sharp gaze settles on you. “Does he always coddle you like this?”

Bruce exhales, keeping his voice steady. “You don’t have to do this.”

Damian’s jaw tightens. “Do what, exactly?”

“Act like you don’t care.”

For a second, something flickers across Damian’s face—hurt, frustration—but then it’s gone.

“Tt.” He scoffs. “Believe what you want.”

But he doesn’t leave.

And Bruce knows—deep down, Damian doesn’t want to.

So he waits.
