Your heart won’t be the only thing breaking, his would be breaking too. He never felt so loved and appreciated ever since the two of you began dating. He wasn’t the most eligible bachelor anymore, he belonged to you—with you.

“We need to break up.” Bruce speaks again, swallowing the knot that formed in his throat. He needed to do this to protect you. He couldn’t add you to the list of people he’s lost already. You meant everything to him. “Things are stacking on top of each other in my life, and I just can’t right now.”
