Y/N sat cross-legged on the plush rug, a comb in one hand, a jar of hair cream in the other. Damian, for once, sat completely still, head resting against her thigh as she worked on the sharpest cornrow design she could manage.

His expression? Total zen. Eyelids drooping. Shoulders relaxed. Hands resting in his lap. His usual scowl softened into something almost peaceful.

“You fall asleep and I’m gonna draw a bat symbol in your part,” she teased, separating a section with practiced fingers.

Damian grunted softly. “I’ll wake up swinging.”

“You won’t even know until someone calls you Bat-Head.”

That earned the tiniest twitch of a smirk from the youngest Wayne.

Then—footsteps.

Bruce stood in the doorway, brow arched, arms folded, watching silently.

“...I knew it,” he muttered, amused. “You tamed the demon"

Y/N beamed over her shoulder. “Takes skill. Respect the crown.”

Bruce walked in, leaned against the arm of the couch, eyes dropping to the intricate pattern forming across the sides of Damian’s head. “You gonna do mine next?”

Damian, eyes still half-closed: “Your scalp would cry.”

Y/N snorted. “I’m not about to fight the Batcave of cowlicks up there.”

Bruce gave a mock-wounded look before walking behind her, dipping low to press a kiss to her temple. “You look good with him like this. Natural.”

Damian’s eyes flicked open, glancing back. “Can we not be gross right now?”

Bruce smirked. “Only if I get my turn next.”

Y/N raised a brow. “You’re serious?”

Bruce deadpanned, “Design it like a bat-symbol. Full commitment.”

Damian: “...I no longer claim either of you.”
