Hell, on your first ever anniversary, he bought you an entire restaurant that you claimed was your favorite. He had a hard time showing you how much he loved you with his words but he made up for everything he didn't say with something he bought. If he could, he would buy you the planet just so you could call it yours and so he can see you happy.

Tonight was your first ever marital anniversary and Bruce had no idea what to do. He had bought you pretty much everything already. He didn't want to get you something he's already gotten you before. He wanted this to be something personal but he was having so much trouble figuring out what would be perfect.

So when the day of your anniversary came, he told you just to meet him at home. No fancy restaurant, no dressing up, nothing you needed to worry about.

When you finally show up, you see that he has completely filled up the living room. Flowers were all across the floor and furniture, the couch was covered in pillows and blankets that were your favorites, candles lit up the room. In the middle of the room was Bruce and he was holding a box.

"I know... I'm not the perfect husband. I work all the time, I struggle showing my emotions, I tend to close myself off." He looks at you with soft eyes. "But you make all of those things seem so small because all I'm ever going to want to do is make you happy and love you for the rest of my life. I really really hope I can make this gift special for once." He opens the lid of the box and a little puppy pops it's head out the box and it yips at you.

Bruce had the softest expression with a small smile. He was finally starting to understand her to make his gifts a little more meaningful for you.
