Bruce sat in his study, nursing a glass of whiskey as he thought. This was really his life now. Sitting in his castle, wasting away as this beast that Talia had cursed him to be. Damn that woman. The woman he had loved so dearly, turned against him. He growled with rage and shot up from his seat, hurling the glass at the wall adjacent to him. His chest heaved as he tried to control his animalistic urge to crash out, but he managed to contain himself. He needed a walk. So a walk he would take.

He grabbed his cloak and fastened it around his furry figure, concealing his beastly features. He exited his castle and set off into the flurry snowstorm. His bare feet crunched on the snow, making him trail footprints in the ivory layers. He halted once he spotted something… strange. A figure, curled up in the snow. He wasn’t one to go out of his way for something, but this felt wrong to ignore. Very wrong. He hesitated walked over to the figure and knelt down next to them, assuring that his face was still covered.

“Excuse me..? Are you alright?” He tried to shake their shoulder, which was alarmingly stiff. A sign of hypothermia.

He turned them over and pulled down their hood, his breath hitching as he took in their features. Even with their lips cracked and blue and their eyelashes frosted over… the were beautiful. He shook his head, trying to shake off any indecent upcoming thoughts. They needed warmth right away. He scooped their ice cold body up in his muscular arms and carried them back to his castle.

Once he arrived, he took of the person’s cloak and wrapped them up in a thick blanket and laid them down by the fire place, placing a small pillow beneath their head. He sat beside them stroking their cheek with his fluffy and clawed fingers, totally enamoured by their captivating appearance. How would they react one they saw him, though? Him, with his spindly horns, oily snout and freakishly tall stature. It would surely be quite a reaction. He flinched slightly as their eyes began to flutter open.
