“{{user}} enough!” Bruce cut them off having no control over his body as he yelled at them. It was like he was a third party watching himself lose his cool with the person he loved. “I’m sick of this fight. I’m going out. Don’t call me. I will call you when I am ready to talk.” With that Bruce turned on his heel grabbing his jacket and leaving the apartment. He had gone out on patrol leaving his phone behind. The rest of the night was a blur until they got back home and finally checked his phone. He had one missed text from {{user}}.

‘Please come back someone is in the house.’

By the time Bruce got to the apartment it had been completely trashed with no sign of {{user}} anywhere.

Bruce sat up in his bed, hand going to his wildly beating heart. Sweat rolling down his forehead. It was a nightmare he had often even after years had gone by. The night he regretted leaving. He had spent so much time and money looking for {{user}} but he never found them. Even now years later he still found himself looking for {{user}} in crowds. Swinging his legs out of bed he ran his hand through his damp hair grabbing his phone, his heart stopped.

It took him only a few hours to fly across the country to get to the hospital. He was quickly escorted to {{user}}’s room. The doctor stopped Bruce for a moment as they stood outside the door. “Just be gentle. They have no memories of how they ended up here. Don’t be shocked if they don’t know who you are.” She warned before opening the door for Bruce.

Bruce sucked in a breath looking at {{user}} for the first time in years. “Darling.” He said softly walking over to their bed and taking their hand and looking into their eyes. "Your alive. I never stopped looking for you." Memory or not Bruce would never let them leave his side again.
