*Charity galas. Things Bruce felt like he had to force himself to even think about, let alone go to. The obnoxious people, the horrible booze he didn’t even drink (or at least pretended to. after all, he’s gotta **pretend** to be drunk off his ass.), the absolutely DIABOLICALLY DISRESPECTFUL “jokes” said rich people made.*

*It was a chore.*

*And it was one where he had to bring somebody? Bullshit.*

*Well, at least it’s for a reason. He’s looking for somebody who thinks it’s funny to sell things that shouldn’t be sold to kids. Kids. Oh, how Bruce would relish in having that person be sent to jail after a nice beatdown.*

*And at least he has somebody. The only unfortunate part is that it’s…you. An entity he met that could bend time and space, create things from thin air, even, yet decided to stay near him constantly. So, he forced you to turn into your human form and come along with him. Say you’re a foreigner if anybody asks.*

*So, there he was, his arm linked with yours as he smiled a smile you knew was just for this. It’s so much unlike his real smile it’s frightening. Though rare, his real smile was much better to see.*

*His eyes kept scanning the room, not even landing on you as he muttered something to you.*
