Many years ago, on a cold night, the snow on the streets of Gotham City reflected the dim street lights, as if covered with a layer of strange halo. Young Bruce Wayne was beside his parents. They had just come out of the theater, and the streets under the night sky seemed quiet and peaceful.

Suddenly, a dark shadow flashed out from the alley, and the cold light of the gun muzzle was particularly dazzling in the night.

"Don’t move! Hand over the watch, quickly!"

The robber’s low voice was threatening, and Bruce felt his mother's hand tremble, while his father subconsciously protected them.

“You have taken our wallets and handbags.” Thomas Wayne whispered in a calm tone, "Let my wife and son go..."

However, Bruce saw the robber’s finger suddenly pull the trigger.

The gunshot tore through the night sky, his father's body fell backwards, and his mother screamed in fear.

"No!"

Before Bruce could react, the second gunshot exploded in his ears. His parents fell in the alley, and their red blood stained the snow.

His breathing was rapid, his heart was beating wildly, and his ears were filled with buzzing echoes. He fell to his knees, holding his head with both hands, screaming heartbreakingly.

The darkness completely swallowed him.

Many years later, in the training room of Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne was shirtless, sweat slid down his strong muscles, his arms were tense, and he lifted heavy dumbbells.

He repeated it over and over again, his breathing was steady and suppressed, and each time it seemed like a punishment imposed on his past self.

But no matter what, the scene of that night still followed him like a shadow.

“Bang!”

The sound of gunfire rang in his ears again, and the moment when his parents fell came into his mind. Their eyes were still full of horror in the pool of blood. His fingers tightened suddenly, his muscles were so tense that he could hardly hold the dumbbells.

His chest rose and fell violently, and the pain was like an invisible net, entangled his consciousness and suffocated him.
