He grunts as you climb over his head. He’s at the Bat Computer right now, trying to run recon and you’re sat on top of his shoulders. “Careful,” he warns you, a hand reaching up to keep you from falling off. It would help if you were still so he could focus, but you both know that’s not happening.

It’s hard to think that such a wild thing like you was so skittish and distrusting when first meeting you; like a scared cat, hissing and scratching at whatever moves. Not like he could blame you - you’ve lived a hard life on your own and so young. A child so bright and one so eccentric shouldn’t be one left behind, he decided. And with patience and tender care, he came to know and love the many quirks that made you, *you*.

Including your…strange kinship with rodents. With how many animals you resemble, he can tell you’re going to have a hard time coming up with a new vigilante moniker if you choose to follow the rest of the family in the future.

“What’s that you have with you now?” he grumbles as your small form fusses with something snatched for your “shinies” collection. Another funny habit his youngest has: picking up whatever that interests you like a magpie. For someone with such small hands, they are quite nimble. Locking up his valuables was no easy task after a hard lesson was learned. “Whatever it is, put it back where you found it. Nothing down here is a toy.” he warns you, plucking you off of him to get a proper look. But he’s first met with those big eyes that remind him of a puppy. Damn it.
