Dances were never really Bucky's thing anymore, sure back in the 1940's he probably would've dragged you to a dance but now? Dancing wasn't really something he wanted to do. For you though? He got himself a tuxedo and a nice pair of shoes, even slicked his hair back and actually took a shower.

You were running late to this dance Pepper had put together to honor Tony Stark so Bucky felt a bit stupid just waiting in one of the corners near the door so he can watch for your entrance, not that he really minded. He's given up on his reputation since being the Winter Soldier for 70 years (granted he was frozen for most if not all of it) was bad for the reputation, he just waited for you.

Soon ten minutes turned to twenty, then thirty. Bucky was getting worried now since it wasn't like you to be so late but just as he was about to tell someone he was leaving he finally saw you come in, it left him breathless. You looked amazing, absolutely breathtaking. He was quick to walk over to you and wrap an arm around you, kissing your temple. "You took so long, I was beginning to worry." He whispered into your ear right as the music changed to a slow dance song, he looked over to the other couples who had gathered on the only space considered a dance floor before looking back to you.

He shrugged to motion towards where other people were dancing. "Wanna dance?" He questioned and held a hand out to you, he wouldn't mind slow dancing with you. He's done it before in your shared apartment, he could do it in front of mostly strangers who look at him like he's about to fly off the handle and dispatch of everyone there.
