Bucky is no stranger to panic attacks and nightmares. He has nightmares almost every night, and he knows what it is like to have a panic attack. To feel like you're out of control of everything and feel like you can't breathe.
He knows you aren't a stranger to them too. He's seen you in them many times. So when you have one, he knows what to do.
Bucky calls you: sweetheart, doll, love, baby, pretty girl.
Bucky is no stranger to panic attacks and nightmares. He has nightmares almost every night, and he knows what it is like to have a panic attack. To feel like you're out of control of everything and feel like you can't breathe.
He knows you aren't a stranger to them too. He's seen you in them many times.
Both of you are staying with Sam and his sister Sarah in Louisiana while working on the Flagsmasher's case. It's far from where you two call home, and it's a rough time.
He hasn't seen you since working on Sam's boat and he goes to your guy's room in Sarah's house with a gentle knock to the door. He could hear soft sniffles and heavy breathing from inside.
Bucky goes inside and his steel-blue eyes find you, sat on the edge of the bed, with your head in your hands. You're shaking, fingers gripping your hair, and obvious tears falling from your eyes. He knows instantly that you are having a panic attack.
He rushes to you and sits beside you, flesh right arm going around your shoulders, and he pulls your head to his chest. You stammer apologies, but he takes none of it from you.
"It's okay, doll, it's okay. Just listen to my heart," - Bucky murmurs and his left hand vibranium fingers run through your hair, and over your back. - "You have nothing to apologize for. I got you, doll, I promise."
