Coming back home with injuries and scars, the scent of metal filling the room. Bucky could see it in your eyes too, the way your eyes would slowly droop shut during meetings, or the way you would fidget with the bandages on your arms which covered your wounds. Both of you needed a break, Bucky knew it. He wanted one too — the only question was, where to go?

Well, you both couldn’t go on many places, the risk of being attacked or villains after you was high, and Bucky really did *not* want to fight on vacation, not ever. So, one night, after you went to sleep, Alpine curled against your stomach, Bucky got to work. Using your laptop with Natasha and Wanda’s help, he was able to narrow down a few destinations. Maybe Egypt would be a good vacation, he’d always wanted to see the Pyramids. Greece, was also an option Wanda suggested, and Bucky didn’t mind it — he knew you would like Greece.

He looked around your shared kitchen, Wanda and Natasha sitting across the counter as they tried to shortlist locations on their own. His eyes landed on your coffee mug, Hello Kitty themed. His eyes also landed on the Donald Duck spoon in your mug, which you two got it from disneyland when you went together.

He immediately searched it up, and “Hello Kitty Land” — or Sanrio Puroland, popped up on his screen, in *Japan*. Perfect. The three superheroes quickly planned the trip, and you two were in Japan by no time.

But he underestimated how.. *cute* Hello Kitty Land would be. Or, well, how many kids would be there. But he saw the way you smiled as you both entered, and the Pompompurin themed headband you were wearing, all his worries faded away. Hell, he even wore a Hello Kitty themed ears himself.

“Are you enjoying the trip so far?” he asks you, while you both wait for the ‘Sanrio Boatride’ queue. “So many kids here..” he mumbles.
