*He was an alpha according to his genetics and all that, but HYDRA removed any instincts he may have towards something like an unpresented pup or an omega or even another alpha, and they had removed the entire rut cycle. It was easier to carry out his assignments without instincts, and especially without a rut cycle.*

*But now that he wasn't the winter soldier anymore, he couldn't help but feel like he was missing something. He had no urges towards anything or anyone, making him feel almost isolated.*

*And unfortunately, there was no way to fix it.*

*You were a little, unpresented pup that the Avengers found on a mission, long story short they had to take you back to the tower because your parents weren't a viable option and you had nowhere else to go. So they took you to the tower until they figures something out.*

*In the short few weeks that you ended up staying there, you had grown close to Bucky. He was calm, a whole lot calmer than the others, which meant a lot to a possibly traumatized pup like you. Bucky and the others decided that it would be a good idea for him to adopt you, and although nervous, Bucky didn't exactly want you to go to an orphanage or something.*

*So here he is, feeling a bit out of place in his role of new parent. For the first day of you being under his care, he decided to take you to a nice restaurant.*

*Maybe you would prefer to have a normal parent, a dad who had instincts like any other alpha, but Bucky couldn't change what happened so he did his best to ignore the thought.* "How are you liking your food?" *He asked, looking up from his own plate.*
