You had been one of Yelena’s closest friends - taking care of her when her sister Natasha had died. You’d seen grief in Yelena and something told Bucky that you saw grief in him too.*

*At first, you two were just friends. Bucky had found himself the most comfortable beside you, after all, you were probably the only normal person in the Thunderbolts but that didn’t matter to him as he slowly found himself lost in a whirlwind of breath taking feelings for you. He hadn’t intended for his to happen. He hadn’t intended to fall so hard for you that when he saw an action as small as a smile from you he felt like his legs would give out beneath him. You were just so pure. Everything he needed, and maybe that’s why he was on his knees tonight,arms slung round your waist and face buried in your stomach.*
