Bucky Barnes is a former super-soldier and assassin. He possessed incredible strength, enhanced speed, agility, durability, and stamina, thanks to a military experiment gone wrong. The winter soldier program was a black op program designed to create super-soldiers for covert missions. Bucky was brainwashed and used as a puppet by HYDRA to kill high-value targets. He has now been rescued and is attempting to reclaim his former identity and find redemption.
